RICE,

appreciate your posts -i've just seen too many screw ups in tech co's and this one is beginning to remind me of Gandalf and Lava

if it was a purely US based co i'd have more faith in it

if it gets delisted on Nasdaq, and likely it will, then the only volume is from Cdn accounts, so potential volm going into the stock chopped significantly

their layer 3 switch, the "flat" switch is good, but several better alternatives it seems out there. Nortel it appears given low revenues, hasn't helped them out much.

Newbridge, people mention, needs a switch co. But I'd like to see a business case for accepting all of LAN's losses, obligations, etc. before, being a businessperson, taking on those obligations.

Situation of delisting also has the intangible of marketplace likely being nervous of whther LAN will be in business, so I would not purchase from a compnay in that type of situation. Additionally, even if a company in such a situation were to get financing, I would not jump out at the company and say now i'll buy your products. For the actual business, it will take some time to recover.

Though LAN ha layer 3 , and NETVA had layer 2 essentially, NETVA maintained a reasonable price likely because it had more visibility and losses were not of the same magnitude. CS bot NETVA. Maybe they'll buy LAN.

Any help out there on this rumor??? An FC/GE union?

messages.yahoo.com@m2.yahoo.com

FWIW I am hearing rumblings that ANCR is ready to make an investment inthe
soon to be defunct switch mfgr. LANPF. The price will be quite cheap in the 2
dollar range and will be for stock.

Rumours have it that the delaer community is pumping up the price of ANCR to
support the value of its stock as currency in the deal. My northern bretheren guss
that ANCR will issue 1 share of
stock for every 4 of Lanpf.

This deal makes a lot of sense as ANCR is getting into new companies they will
have the leverage to sell additional products as well as offer a cheaper alternative
the FC for accounts not ready to spend but might in the future. Makes sense from
a marketting plan and from a financial strategy as well.

As for Lanpf shareholders it makes sense as well since they have the ability to
grow as part of the ANCR orginization.

Remeber. It is a well put together rumour passed on from some
friends up north. Has anyone heard of ANCR looking to expand??

Any thoughts out there? Thanks in advance.
