[[Who are the Violent Femmes?]] Odd, I thought they got played on 91X down your way. You've probably heard a few of their songs like "Blister in the Sun" and "Gone Daddy Gone". My buddy "Rock and Roll Dan" (he was even at the Monterey Pop Festival in the 60s) was impressed with them as the opening act for Devo last night in LA. But, maybe they are too "punk" for your tastes... The name Sprung Monkey sounds familiar - I think they might have been one of the bands at the massive all day long surf band event my brother dragged me to. (I only remember a few of the acts that stood out, like the Reventlos and Dick Dale.) I have to run to make it up to LA to catch Hellbound Hayride at 10 PM! Talk to you later...
