God, if he is omniscient, knows what he has to do to get me to believe. If he doesn't do it he is perverse- in which case I wouldn't like him anyway, or he is incompetent, which seems a drawback in a God.

I think I would rather enjoy knowing a perverse god, like Mercury,
or Apollo, or especially Athene.
