Turbodyne says Nasdaq may seek delisting

WOODLAND HILLS, Calif., Jan 22 (Reuters) - Engine design and pollution control company
Turbodyne Technologies Inc. said on Friday that the Nasdaq stock exchange had started
proceedings related to a possible delisting of its shares.

Trading of Turbodyne's shares on the Nasdaq SmallCap Market had been halted, the company said in a statement.

''Nasdaq has advised the company of its initiation of proceedings relating to a possible delisting of the company's shares,'' the
statement said.

Turbodyne had arranged for a hearing with the exchange to present its case for continued listing, it said.

The company also said it intended to request a hearing with Easdaq, the Brussels-based pan-European stock exchange.

Nasdaq on Thursday halted trade in Turbodyne shares and said it planned to start disciplinary proceedings against it.
