Ike ... on CPQ '98 was a transition year for CPQ as it put in place its strategy for the future thru its acquisition of Tandem and DEC. '99 is the year these acquistions should become accretive to the bottom line ... with the DEC Alpha chip providing CPQ an edge into the server market while INTC's Merced has been delayed until 2000. In the year 2000 I see CPQ coming strongly into its own and I hold CPQ 21K leaps as an investment. Next week CPQ will make its initial foray into the enterprise storage market ...
