Sounds like PIII is going to become Clipper II. I can just imagine the Microsoft dialog box popping up on the screen:

"In order to proceed with installation, you must enable the hardware serial number feature of your PIII processor."

The user will then have the choice to not install Windows 2000 or any other Microsoft products. No thanks, I'll stick with AMD and Cyrix processors. No Intel Clipper II's for me!
