I gave up shorting a long time ago...
The street seems convinced that it doesn't have a chance against msft. I've been looking for a place to pick up a few shares...it seems to be that any company that really wants a lock on wideband net apps desperately needs WIND...and will be willing to pay big bucks for it. Its technology is vastly more valuable than the portals. IMHO more valuable than anything MSFT is doing.
Not a volatile internet stock? ROFL!

Yes precisely, so why did it appear on the margin list. (50% margin
requirement, not "no margin"). Either Schwab had info prior to the
crash or actions such as the margin list triggered the re-valuation.
