Remember we're talking of the poor. Ever wipe with a corncob, instead of the luxurious goose's necks you're probably accustomed to? You don't wrap the newspaper, even the lingerie ads, around the putz, but make an admiral's hat. I disagree on the shorts. Puts are cash outflow and shorts are cash in. If even the poor can get off enough shorts and make a decent margin agreement with their brokers, they can do well in shorts. I don't feature a bunch of poor people prancing around flaunting their puts without any shorts at all. Get with the program!
