Let me enlighten you a bit, lisa, since you are not an attorney. All states have their own version of the Rules of Professional Conduct. They are all based on the "model rules", as approved by the ABA. While the specific language or wording may differ from state to state, the gist of each rule is the same. Thus, a competent lawyer licensed in ANY jurisdiction knows the basic rules of legal ethics for ALL jurisdictions.
