>> alright! you must be having a ball. :) didn't you go from win3.1 to win98? and from a 486 to a pentiumII? like 450 megs or something? how's the whiplash? <gg><<

You're right, that was me. It came in yesterday, I come home with a head cold that was killing me. I seen about 5 boxes sitting there and I knew what that meant. I suffered through the head cold and started putting everything together. It took about 2 hours. Went through the Wizard to hook to the internet, and away we went. No problems what so ever. Going from that 486 DX-2(50)non-pentium 250 Meg hard drive Win 3.1 to a 400MHz Win 98 with a 10 Gig hard drive was amazing. Got to bed at 4:30 A.M. this morning. Wife was not to impressed. She said, "I thought you were sick"? I told her I have waited to long for this computer to get here and if I was going to die from this head cold I wanted to at least play with it once. :-)

>>so tell us some of the major differences? and was the install really seamless?<<

Major differenses are the speed and graphics. I had a 28.8 modem, now have a 56K. I went from a dot matrix printer to a HP Deskjet 722C. Photo quality performance.

>>guess we all know where your weekend's going to be spent!<<

You got that right, sick or not I'm suffering through this enjoyment.

My only problem now is to try to get the data from my old computer to the new one. Like my Exel and Word and Quicken data imported to the new versions of each. I already loaded my new Turbo Tax 98 and had no problem importing last years data to that.
