Ahhhh.. But Diantetics was written by L. Ron Hubbard and grew from several science fiction stories that were first serialized in the 1940s and early 1950s in a magazine called Astounding Science Fiction which later became Analog: Science Fiction, Science Fact. I believe the story that started it all and held the core ideas of Dianetics and Scientology was a short story named, I Remember Lemuria.

In fact Dianetics was debated in editorials by the Editor of Astounding, John W. Campbell. He first leaned to supporting it, then later was able to shoot holes in it and condemned it.

The point here is a clear intellectual property right exists and rests with L. Ron Hubbard. As for the writings found in the old and new testaments, this monumental omnibus is purported by some to be authored, at least in part, by an omnipresent, omniscient, omnipotent being, seeing that much of it is supposed to be either the direct word of, or inspired by, god, thus making god the ultimate author of these works.

The problem with the unwritten copyright law is that the author must be able to prove that he/she is the original author. In this unique case, the author in question must also prove their own existence, that they were in existence during the thousands of years that this work was written, that they are in existence now, and the original manuscripts, drafts, or working copies that lends legal credence that the work indeed grew from their own mind and that they are therefore the creator of the concept or work of art.
