George,
Was riding in a friend's car, radio was on local US military station. A military news release talked about a bandage in development that could save lots of lives. Said it was unlikely US military would start stocking it because they were $1,000 each. But did say many trauma centers were interested. Just post because it again reinforces our belief that no matter what the cost, trauma centers and emergency rooms do not ask for HMO approval before administering treatments. Thought I also heard about someone winning an award because the HMO refused to pay for some treatments?

Japanese article. Journal is Japan's Journal of Students of External Injuries. Student in this case equals doctors studying medicine. The center where the study was done is in Chiba (I believe) which is just outside of Tokyo. Could not get a read on the center's status. Hanasawa is published and quite active. Kodama is a very popular name, so have not been able to zero in on anything else he may be doing. More as I uncover it.
