Allen and DaveG, ALLEN====For openers,I would like to say that I wish everything comes out exactly the way you have it figured. As for Gary,I am proud to make his acquaintance. DAVE=====I wish I had the answer for you in reference to how much of an issue it would be for the large retailers of Emerson,but all I can offer is my thoughts on a web site. There is no guarantee that they will react positively to the web site but as I always say there are two sides to every story.Emerson will have to do a lot of careful planning so as not to disrupt the current relationship they have with their two biggest customers,namely Wal Mart and Target stores. It could wind up a disaster or a magic bullet,but only time will tell how a web site works out for Emerson. These days the mere mention of a web site seems to head a stock in an upward direction,but as one can see it could be short lived,[as we saw happen to gym so far} if the sales and earnings are not positive. Investors are sometimes very fickle. Now the positive side===========If the web site proves successful,emerson may make some kind of arrangement with their biggest customers to channel a certain percentage of the business through them,and in the end,everyone will be happy. Selling through the web should not [ not will not } be a negative any more than Emerson selling their products via QVC or the HOME SHOPPING NETWORK.
