Hi JDN - It was interesting that SUNW did mention EMC specifically in the CC. I guess they were losing business from them in the past and they feel now (with their new product line up) they will "win" new orders against them going forward.

EMC has executed their business plan very well and their stock has appreciated accordingly. However, it appears that Sunw now has their eye on them and wants some of that business too.

EKS

P.S. I think Sunw's management also stated that some of their customers were installing EMC storage solutions rather than Sunw. Sunw wants to make it easy for their current customers to install their storage products rather than competitors by (1) providing better software management integration, (2)having better customer services buying options..."buy everything from one source"; and "make the buying experience simple and easy for the customer", and (3)announcing a new enhanced "storage & software" product line with competive pricing for current Sunw customers.
