Who really needs it? When 128 megabyte is the standard system then maybe 128 mbit chips might be needed. Maybe by then 256mbit chips will be in mass production.

I believe 128mb is looked at as a halfway measure until the 256mb is ramped up.

BTW I was looking at some of the prices on the SIMM 16mbyte and 32mbyte modules, they are getting very expensive and MU is still making them dirt cheap...a lot of profit in the upgrade market.<g>
