Tarzan,

"Web Street is still the top performing site on the net for executions:"

Unless I am missing something, I fail to see the relevance of your reference to "executions."

keynote.com

And I quote (with bolding added):

"The Keynote Web Brokerage Index is the average response time in seconds and the availability rate of accessing and downloading the home pages of 20 brokerage web sites via industry-standard HTTP..."

In fact, recently this same measure came up in this discussion and I pointed out that it really depends upon which page is being considered THE "home page." Some are fast, and some are not!

In the post that you are responding to, I said:

"I have had problems getting on to the system 3 mornings this week..."

That was probably not as clear as it could have been. The problem was NOT downloading or accessing any of the home pages, it was getting beyond that point. In addition, once I did get beyond it, e.g. "Equity Order" entry, the system no longer recognized by ID and password, thus preventing me from doing "anything." This was not a problem that only I encountered. I know this as a fact since I received an Email from Web St acknowledging this as a problem - and I give them a plus for doing so.

As far as executions are concerned, MY "jury is still out on that one," since I do not have enough experience with other brokers. But once again, one must consider whether or not one is concerned with or comparing the executions of penny stocks, NASDQ, AMEX, NYSX, etc.

Despite my criticisms over the last 9 months of Web St, I am still using them and in reality "rooting" for them. I have given them credit where I have felt credit is due. I was merely sharing a disappointment in their performance this past week. Hopefully, they will become the best!

Good Luck

Bill

Tarzan,

That survey measured access times to the home page, NOT execution speed.
