<This whole scheme for ID's is backfiring on Intel.>

This ID thing with the Pentium III will backfire badly for sure.

That's okay for me though because I went short INTC on Wednesday anyway. I just couldn't resist. I actually think that INTC could go below $100 over the next few weeks.

For Intel holders, I'm not outright condemning INTC or have anything against them personally. I actually own a Pentium II 300 that I bought a year ago. So no flaming please. I'm a trader - have to make money where you can.

By the way, I also bought AMD Thursday at under $20 when I could see the selling drying up. Sold yesterday though for a 2 point profit. May re-enter the position on Monday.

Kash, Glad you enjoyed my whimsy. BTW, I also thought of a couple of other issues.
Probably need inspection stations. Bring in your PC once a year to make sure the PC isn't stolen, the PCID hasn't been tampered with and a check of EPA regulations, (still Green). ;-)
Of course the criminal/low-life element, (pornographers, con artists, etc.), will need to establish a black market of stolen PC's to avoid detection. Geez, if some one steals your lap-top, who do you report it to? Are you indemnified from illegal usage if it falls into the wrong hands?
Curiouser and curiouser.
