Spots Thanks for getting back re my Matrox driver confusion.. I have now uninstalled, for the second time, the dwnldd version and reloaded the cd-rom version, which appears to be working fine. The dwnld driver is 3.68a and the cd-rom driver is 3.60, so its fairly new and I hesitate to try the 3.68a again but I will cause I want to prevail<g> With cd installed Powerdesk the shortcuts are working ok but I still get>Cannot find the file C:\Program< when I first startup NT.Open the short cut to powerdesk and put quotes around the path, Where are shortcut paths located?you capitalized "Temp" leads me to suspect you did it from C:\Temp Correct..Some users have experienced problems running this install from the Temp folder. Unzip it into another folder. I didn't see that.. but will use another folder when I try again..did you get the latest drivers as of Jan 15? Yep.. thats the 3.68a..Another aspect thats confusing me is both the 3.68a from Matrox and the 3.60 from the g200 cd both install MGA64 as the actual device driver. So whats the difference between 3.68a and 3.60 if MGA64 is common to them both?It was my assumption as to where the properties would appear, which I should have told you Ohhhhh.... you were assuming.. I thought it was written in stone<gg> Even with this properly functioning cd version I wasn't getting Matrox Display Properties in a right-click menu. It's in a little Matrox Quick Desk icon in the taskbar (or whatever its called)next to the clock.I was saying "Gee, Why am I getting it here..Spots can't be wrong.." Youre forgiven, though.. typing out every sudlty(sp) of expression that goes thru your mind is impossible .It's possible the property page will appear on the desktop context menu (what you get when you right click the desktop) once you get a good install, though. see aboveSo much time, so little to do Thats my goal in life, too<g> nirvanaman..returning to the womb<GG> Clarence
