I think FMK is right, proceeds from sales may have been used for option exercise.

Thanks Jacques, insider buying is still net positive...by far. Mr. Roberts recently bought on the open market, too.

Incidentally, WRT the recent interview with Lev; the statement that volume shipments would begin within 2 qtrs. is consistent with the Dec SEC filing, and necessarily so. Assuming that the Dec SEC filing was conservative, or (unintentionally) misleading, or whatever; the boss would have little choice in an exclusive interview, but to reiterate the time line suggested by the SEC paper. Comparing Lev's statement from the interview, even if "recent", with the AUG SEC filing(which says VLNC has no commercial product), could cause skepticism with anyone who does not follow this particular company on a daily basis.

Some threadsters have ventured estimated dates for volume shipments or announcements or PO's, but the latter is a little tricky since Lev said that there will be no preannouncement. Add mentioned Apr. 15, I estimated end of Feb and FMK says imminent. As far as the trigger for the first announcement of a contract, it seems that VLNC will defer to the OEM's before making any statement of their own.
