OJ....I don't do options but your naked puts sound very interesting....please explain again so very slow people like me will understand.......

a naked put is selling a stock you do not own and hoping the price will go down.....am I right???? What is the naked part?? The fact that you don't own it to begin with??

Sorry if this is a dumb question.

hmm.. I disagree about 100% re:sunw and the market in general, but your thoughts are being stuck somewhere in my brain for reference over the next few weeks. After lumps and bruises, I learned never to ignore anothers comments on a stock :)

Stock split and the current quarter are enough to keep the speculation alive regardless of wether its warranted or not. Friday was a horrendous morning for the markets, and SUNW immediately showed stregnth.. right from the open!

My take is, ill trade SUNW at this level until it proves support.. If it falls below 90 ill be a real aggressive buyer for whatever thats worth. Long term SUNW is a stock to have in your portfolio without a doubt..

When I did options, my broker always told me not to exercise them, just to take the money.

I was buying naked call and put options though. So, to reiterate for benefit of others, I was buying and not selling.

Have to think about selling puts.. Cuz I agree with Paul that if Sun falls below 90, it's a steal for the long-term investor.

[oh yeah...one bad thing COULD happen to you...the stock you have to buy at say 100, goes to 50...anything is possible...but even if that did ocurr, so you'll have to sit with SUNW till it rallied back...so what!!!!!!!

Jerry, when U buy options, U still have to pay brokerage fees. How much do they usually run?

U use discount broker I'm sure. Which one?

I agree with U about buying "quality" stock for options......

Thanks. Something for me to thing about.

Best wishes,

Mephisto
