I gather from bob bowker that FGI's backlog dropped $50MM Sept qtr end from prior qtr end. What does it portend to most recent qtr end when presumably things started to get worse re cutbacks etc?? That's the majic question. In this environment forward eps stuff is relatively meaningless imo and in fact may be a hook to sucker people in. Maybe-maybe not-it's like the car companies--buy when the pe is very large and sell when the pe is very low?

Thomas, FGI is no slouch. The differences in share price with FGI being $4.00 higher is also part of my case. 9 analysts at Zacks rate PDE at estimated earnings of $0.93 in 1999 with a high est. of $1.25 based on earnings in 98 of $1.51. PDE is good at beating analysts projections.
I'm sure their is tremendous potential for both companies this year.

Santiago
