Cisco and NTAP are not really in the same business, are they?

Only in the sense that they both provide infrastructure to IT and internet. CSCO is primarily a network controller (router) company. NTAP is primarily a network-attached storage company. They do compete in the web caching business.

They both often call their products "network appliances", but its kinda like refrigerators and ovens--their both in the kitchen but serve very different purposes.
