I couldn't help it.. With all of the moaning and groaning I felt that I had to lend some perspective! <bg>

As for "Peg", she's a 14 yr old border collie with arthritis which is why I was carrying her. I never dropped her but sadly, I've had to board her and her pal "Mick" (also a border collie) and will have to do so for the next several months. They won't go outside without me and getting up and down the steps is too difficult and risky to do 5 times a day. The 6 week setback doesn't help but they seem to be well taken care of.

To add insult to my injury, I had just purchased a 99 corvette convertible and its sitting down in the garage with 800 miles on the odometer. I've had lots of offers to "exercise" it though... Looks like it'll be six months or so before I can drive.

But to add some perspective to my own whining my Dr. said that 100 years ago my injury would have been fatal due to lack of ability to "fix" it (my foot was pointing backwards) and then probably being unable to survive an amputation. How's that for perspective? Sure sobered me up!

On the mend and trying to get back in the game..
