There was an article on this in the Boston Globe when the story surfaced a few days ago. One of my colleagues knows the analyst at H.C. Wainwright who was quoted in that article, Jason Ader. I talked to Jason a few weeks ago about TGCC and he is keeping tabs on them - but has seen plenty of companies try and fail in this space. I suspect it will be a little while before Intel and PictureTel have anything to sell. How many companies would be willing to wait for an Intel solution, if TGCC can offer them a "killer app" now? I can't answer that one. I also wonder if the Intel/PictureTel solution will be able to approach TGCC's in functionality. TGCC seems to have taken a very comprehensive approach and is a total packaged solution. I think people will like that. I strongly suspect that Intel/PictureTel will come out with a box, leaving the rest to the customer (integration, training, network construction and management, etc.). No question that the battle will be fierce. We have a smaller army but hopefully equipped with far superior weaponry. Only time will tell!

If you have not seen Roger Moore's TGCC trip report, you should take a look at it. I think it's at cutrade.com. You have to register to get a peek. I also talked to him on the phone to follow-up. Quite encouraging. None of these products will be able to touch TeraCom in terms of capabilities. Looks like Day 3 of strong volume is underway. I picked up a few more shares this morning right before we broke through $5.
