Paris, I think your question deserves some public discussion even though it is a little OT. I am somewhat of a Technodufus, and therefore have no idea whether the dire predictions concerning 1/1/00 will materialize or not. That being said, I am concerned about the effect that the inevitable media hype and sensationalism will have on the financial markets. The markets don't like uncertainty, and Y2K is the ultimate uncertainty. Personally, I am taking a defensive posture. I am gradually taking some profits and raising cash in my account. Hopefully, this will put me in a position to take advantage of market dislocations which might be caused by Y2K later in the year. I would love to hear others' opinions on the subject. Pardon the OT discussion. If there are objections, I will drop it. Respectfully, Jim
