Save the Republicans.
The latest stupid trick by the house managers, to question Monica outside the Senate process, is surely going to cost all republicans in the next election. It's amazing that they think they might learn something new that was not covered in the previous 18 periods of questioning. All they can do is alienate anyone who thought it wasn't just a witchhunt.

Here's my prediction: The motion to dismiss will fail 45-55 on a 100% partisan vote. The motion to call witnesses will pass 52-48 or 53-47, with a few sensible Republican Senators trying in vain to salvage the party.

All we need is one-and-half dozen witnesses, with each consuming about a week, and we will have this one going for another 4 months! Wonderful! Fabulous! Just what I was wishing for.
