Sorry for the confusion.
The branch wood came from Daivik/abers pipe, and was show by Ms.Thomas who I believe is VP for exploration for Aber currently. Gren her dad deserves as much credit in the north as Fipke in his own way. He worked out of YK for years then got highwood up and running found berilium at thor lake, massive sulphides base metal at sunset and worked all over. then tough times he got Aber going and staked up ground during first phase of Diamond rush. So Gren etc put in their time before they made the big find.
The black sustance in WSP boulders is...coal maybe but they also found micro fossils in their breccia. Probably when some of these things errupt alot of surface material gets sucked or washed into them.
If conditions are right. Some may have indeed come up under lakes.
Since no one has ever seen a kimberlite erruption, its all second quessing by what is seen today.
World wide the pipes fall into narrow bands, age dates. All of a sudden a whole bunch of kimberlites errupt around the world in a short span of time and then none appear for many millions of years. Why this should be is anyones quess. One theory, maybe a comet or something comes by. Then again maybe its just those pesky aliens having fun with us. Never forget geology is a developing science and we are a long way off from having all the answers.
regards Walt
