"NEW WINE IN OLD BOTTLES" 1 of 15

To those who've recently joined this thread, my ongoing dialogue with Leroy et. al. has achieved its goal of examining the wisdom and accuracy of CMOZ's (formerly MISM's) past actions and statements.

This dialogue began on February 17, 1998. In my first post, I chastised current shareholders for not being more cautious. ""MISM is a tiny company with little cash, big plans and dubious future prospects," I said.

Those interested, can find it at:

If not, read on:

I then went on to criticize management fro their penchant for announcing letters-of-intent ahead of real news, and for not disclosing the other parties to their so-called letters-of-intent.

I especially criticized Dan Master for blaming the company's performance on "a nefarious conspiracy by unnamed persons." To this end, the company has announced that it has hired private investigators -- Scully and Mulder even, maybe -- to find out who's "manipulating the stock."

Also, I criticized past president and current chairman, Wilfred Shaw, for failing to disclose to current shareholders his past involvement with the company.

Finally, I reported how the company's right to the "Wheel to Wheel" franchise system is unclear and how, the then $13 million funding was laughable.

Immediately after my first post, the company issued an update of it "operations." Basically, the update promised big things in the future owing to the pending deals. In reply, I posted a similarly positive press release from the company dated 16 October 1996:

MIS Multimedia Interactive Services Inc
MIS
Shares issued 6916443
1996-10-16 close $0.62
Wednesday Oct 16 1996

Mr Masters reports,

The company has accepted five deposits for new franchise locations for its Wheel to Wheel retail operation. Negotiations are also progressing with potential area developers for six locations in Calgary and three in New Brunswick.

"To date," I said then "none of this has come to pass." What is more, when it fell through, there was no public disclosure of the information.

My first post, needless to say, caused a bit of a stir. In fact, one person, signed up to the SI for the exclusive purpose of posting a reply to me. He calls himself "Brett" and his recorded moniker is "DCMTM."

At the time, he seemed to have remarkable access to the company's current management, and a detailed knowledge of it current goings-on. At the time, I suspected he was close to the company. Subsequent events caused me to believe my suspicions (discussed in a future post).

Those interested, can find "Brett's" post here:

If not, read on.

In total, "Brett" explained:

1) Disputed the fact that the rights to Wheel to Wheel were questionable; he said they were purchased from an ex-officer of the company,

2) stated that the company delisted from the Vancouver Stock Exchange because an ex-officer of the company was under investigation by the BC Securities Commission; and

3) "MIS has decided to buy an existing auto co rather than start from sratch so as I understand they backed away from opening new stores in areas that the company they are buying in (sic)."

Oh, and he accused me of being a proxy for the "former" non-Wilfred Shaw management of the company.
