Claude,I'm posting this despite your last sentence.
By your reasoning, you could have bought from Tiger.
BTW, Dell is not the cheapest or the best deal.
Dell and Compaq were no-names, brand xs ages ago. Now, they get a premium price. Perhaps, more will buy current no-names. Once it was safe for corporate bureacrats to buy IBM. Now, it is safe to buy Dell.
Some are smart and save money buying less expensive computers-but, are they rewarded by their companies, when will Dell be seriously affected?
