Unexpected side effect of the Y2K ....

In Arizona, auto license plates are assigned to a car for the life of a person's ownership. We have little stickers that are added each year that indicate the month and year that the registration is good through. The stickers have the state abbreviation (AZ) and the 2 digit year value. For instance, a car registered in July of 1997 would have two stickers. One would say "JUL", the other would say "AZ98", meaning the car is registered through July of 1998.

Guess what happens when you register a car in 1999? The registration is good through the registration month in 2000.

So, the year sticker says "AZ00".

For the next year, all Arizonans will be presumed to live in "a zoo".
