That's not why you buy BRK, and if you are going to look at it as a hold forever stock, it should be irrelevant. But I'm not sure I look at BRK that way. I think I got in at a decent price in December, and I haven't decided yet whether I would sell into a monster S&P index run-up. The arguments as to why it will not go into the S&P though are unconvincing. This is one of the largest insurance companies in the world, stock holdings aside. Right now I am more interested in tracking down the Paine Webber report and seeing how the analyst calculated a valuation 50% north of the current share price.
