Did you take a large position? I think selling puts is the best way to accumulate Intc shares, Intel does it "regularly". Jan, I only bought 1K shares. To be honest, AMZN has placed me in a temporary equity situation that I can no longer take large positions and still be diversified. I also can say I placed me in that position by being stubborn. I wrote 150 strike Feb covered calls for 2 1/4 a few days ago. I try to leave enough equiity to take a decent poisition in YHOO or AMZN for trading which requires all cash at present. I belive DELL may move similar to INTC and am prepared to buy DELL if it appears a tech correction will not continue. I sold DELL prior to some of the techs selling off. I am diversifying. I have gone long GCR, GLM, DVID (that was James idea and I like it), AOL, AEP and a mutual fund. I did close the account that permitted me to write naked calls, naked puts, etc. which is one of my strong areas. I kept my DLJdirect account and they are too conservative for certain positions. I need to open another account that will permit these positions but that breaks my equity into smaller pieces. I have procrastinated on doing that. Schwab seems to be the recommended online vehicle by many. I believe you told me who you use online but I have forgotten. Could you tell me again? The short position with AMZN was not monitored by me as well as I wish but likely I may have not done anything different regardless. I had surgery in late March on my knee (an ACL) due to wrestling with my son. I do not wrestle with him anymore<G> Anyhow, had to go to rehab each day at 3PM eastern and stayed on my cell phone talking to my full service broker monitoring the price of AMZN shares. Every day it would go up a few more more points at 3:50 to 4 PM after already quite a few points during the early part of the day. I believe now on short covering. I was always amazed but believed it would stop but it kept on going day after day. I was stubborn and believed I could out last it but that was foolish. I learned a lot last year and wish I knew it prior to the beginning of the year<G> Glenn
