There are equivalent formulas I can use. I like to look at the separate indicators: stochastics and the RSI and other indicators. Combining them into one formula leads to a clearer indicator in many situations but doesn't give you the "granularity" of the separate ones. Of course, the difficulty is "seeing the forest through the trees".

The reason I think the stock won't see new highs is not based completely on the TA: Amazon has often gone back to test it's highs before completing the downward leg of it's movement. But I think the timing is wrong for Amazon to move to new highs - the consumer market that is driving the Internet stocks is moving into the slower growth quarters and post-partum IPO blues.
