Net income: $15.5M, + 160.8%

The San Jose-based contract electronic manufacturer's record quarter placed
the company on track to approach $2 billion in revenue in its fiscal 1999.
Through the first nine months of the year, ended Dec. 31, Flextronics reported
revenue of $1.3 billion and net income of $40 million.

"I am pleased to report another record quarter," said Michael Marks,
chairman and chief executive. "We continue to expand our operations and
customer base around the world."

In December, Flextronics acquired ABB Asea Brown Boveri's Automation
Products manufacturing operations in Vasteras, Sweden, which assembles
printed-circuit boards and other electronics equipment. Flextronics will
assume all manufacturing operations and gain control of the existing
equipment, materials, and facility.-Darrell Dunn
