Patrick, this all depends on when merger is done, if finalized before qtr end then they must consilidate and sales don't count until boards are shipped out the STB door. If not, they will have to restate prior earnings afterwards, and the game will be up. More important then the accounting games is how many they sell and their margins. Your observation about the retail premium is right on. Another twist on this is V2 or V3 question. I have a Canopus V2 and if I want SLI its' gonna cost me over 100 to get the board. Problem is, canopus is getting out of the board business, so do I spend the extra bucks to get V3 or get the cheaper V2 and hope that canopos continues to support their V2's. Answer seems to be V3 for me. Other users who were considering V2 SLI will also face same question. This makes for a potentially huge V3 upgrade demand at sweet margins. Joe C.

Chip prices (V3, not Anderson) as quoted in PC Accelerator:

V3 2000 - $35
V3 3000 - $45

In quantities of 10,000.
