I'm not sure how this works Netscape surely wouldn't want this. They survive partially on those revenues. How easy it is to do - I don't know. But if the demand to avoid these adverts is there, some third part vendor will surely fufil it. I really don't think NetScape would be able to prevent Advert-blockage. Kind of like McAfee software defending your PC against viruses. If it is viable - revenues will drop.
Unlike TV the format on a Web page is pretty predictable, and you have to make the selection to go to the advert yourself. It's not difficult to figure out the "go to" buttons. How do you figure which ones are adverts though? As I said it is something to ponder.
