"I think it's a hard competitor, and I think Microsoft, IBM, Sun, Netscape, et al recognize that there is real market competition. I believe some of Microsoft's competition is exploiting an opportunity to use the government to slow down their competition"

and don't forget most of all you own their stock.

It's called "the rule of reason" -- you can do anything you
damned-well please as long as you can convince the judge you've
got a non-monopolistic reason. "I didn't like the cut of Netscape's jib." Reason enough. Lot's more judges on appeal, more Republican and Libertarian as you go up. Easier and easier to teach a reason to.
