I like that ASTN is spinning off Gomez Advisors. I saw Mr. Gomez on CNBC discussing something, I don't recall. . .seems like facts and figures about the web. Any target date for the spin-off? As for the financial trading system, I know nothing of this industry. Do you know who their competition is and what the market share is like? Also, what does the ASTN trading system offer brokers that traditional systems do not? And do you know when SEC approval is expected to be announced? Or what the cost for selling these systems might be? Answers to the above questions, IMO, is where we find our "story" about these companies. And from what I have been seeing, it is almost exclusively STORY that moves a stocks price. By the way, how are their financials? [See how unimportant it is?] Even earnings on a NYSE company are being played these days. . .run up before the announcement, then run down after the release. No part of the equities market is immuned to the speculative day and overnight traders. Rande Is
