I checked into a couple of questions I had myself.Apparently it is illegal to short stock under a certain price in Canada, not sure about the US,but if you had shorted it at a much higher price, you don't have to cover when it falls below a certain limit. Therefore, the shorts that may be on this one were likely placed there some time ago. 1)....Taurus The shorting of a BB stock can not be done in the US. The shorts many of us are referring to is the "short" inventory or phantom shares that are created when the MM sells the brokerage house the shares needed to execute the BH's order. Since the MM did not match up the order with other MM or existing inventory that would make them "short". The MM's are playing the odds of further dilution and/or "belly up".... I looked everywhere to find recommendations by brokerages and newsletter writers but could not find any anywhere.Too bad,as I would have liked to see what the industry was saying about this one 2)....Taurus, the industry hasn't noticed yet, I believe there has been a concerted effort to keep a lid on everything until all the ducks were in a row...lets see what the industry says once they drill and tell results, just my guess!!! They'll holler Bre-X because they won't be able to believe the results, then once the industry realizes the assays are valid it will be too late... I looked into why the stock price was increasing and couldn't find information anywhere on that. There has been no drilling on any of their properties that I or my friends in the industry are aware of,so results are certainly not leaking out. 3)...Taurus, as I type I hope that Gordon House has slept well and recovered from his jet lag and is jeeping up to the rig. A good morning to all of the Sedna crew, a pat on the back to the crew foreman, and an "okay mother farkers lets RUUUUUUUUMMMMBBLE" I looked into the question I had about them being a Gold Mining Company, and can find no information suggesting they are actually mining anything at this time or have the finances to do so in the future. That would make them a pure exploration company that depends on outside money to finance their operations.Money is pretty tight in today's invironment.Best they may hope for is a take-over of assets if they can find a buyer maybe or something like that. 4)....Taurus, You may check out the creditials of Gordon House with your connections, and if your are into the mining industry that you will realize from reading the Medinah website that they are an exploration company with many many items on their plate... I looked into the trading pattern on this one and find it to be a very simple one to follow.I don't think I should publicly state what my interpretations are here.I don't like posting to this thead in the first place after what happen a few months ago.I have never called a company a scam on the internet, but I did witness one fellow who named about thirty companies with no reprisal from either.I think a company should be proven a scam before posters can say that. 5) ...Taurus, my interp of your statement is you think it is a classic "pump & dump", well we shall all soon know what was up. I looked into taking possession of the Certs.that someone mentioned here.I don't like that idea,as you cannot trade out of the stock until you send in your Certs. That is a pretty dangerous position to be in,unless you plan on holding them no matter what the company does or doesn't do.Being an exploration company, things can become quite volatile and crashes to zero and delistings are not too uncommon.I would rather have the flexibility of being able to buy and sell at will.By the volume generated on this one, seems many feel the same way. If a company is concerned about a large short position,it should do what most companies do and make the stock unattractive to short.IE:Start a drill program and actually find some Gold. 6)...Taurus, I have possession of my certs, and can sell by picking up the phone or by jumping in my beat up 'ol pickup truck and driving to ten different brokerage houses in the area, and sell within minutes after walking in the door. Having a cert actually gives the power to the owner not the BH that is holding the shares :-) Have a good day!
