>>The S&P 500 Index is capitalization weighted, meaning that the largest stocks account for proportionately more of the index value. 14 companies accounted for99% ofthe S&P's return for the first 3 quarters of 1998, and 5 stocks made up half of that. MSFT and DELL were 1/3 of the gain. On an unweighted basis, the index only returned 8% through 12/16 versus 21.5% on a weighted basis.<<

That is why the AMEX S&P sector spiders are so attractive. You can trade them like stocks without the giant spreads and liquidity problems of options.

On Friday I wrote <<fwiw - Decided to stick an buy on PROG this am as I saw the MM taking it down with no volume. I think I got lucky caused it filled at 12 5/8. Hope to see this start to make a move.>>

Saturday..

Well, I just reviewed my account and it appears that Schwab has once again screwed me with a bogus confirmation. When I checked my order status on Friday it indicated that I was done. I was happy as a pig in shit since it began to run not 15 mins later.

Today I went to check my account and thought some looked fishy, so I reviewed my order status and it now shows up the order was closed at 10:46am. This is the second time that the bastards have posted misinformation on confirmation this month. I will be calling them up on Monday and giving them bastards an earfull. I am so pissed. Has anyone experienced this crap with Schwab or any other broker.

If anyone uses Schwab get rid of them!!! These guys suck.

Regards,
bazan
