Alfredo, I don't really disagree with your comments. A couple points. I try to post articles which contain some new piece of info, for example, real drop to 1.90 last week or one economist's prediction that the real will go to 3.0 before stabilizing at 2.5. Over time, we can only hope to become more sophisticated about various info sources. For example, I tend to think thestreet.com is a straightshooter for small investors. Another example. I tend to regard all public statements by any Merrill Lynch rep with a huge grain of salt -- they know who butters their bread, and it ain't me.

The endless cacophony (great word by the way) is a fact of life in the Internet world. I tend to regard the inventions of Reuters feeds, newspaper/magazine articles for free on the Web, and bulletin boards such as SI as very positive for small investors to help even up the info gap with large institutional investors. Finding a way to decipher the clues buried in the mass of info is the difficult task of modern investors. For myself, I try to continually research and discover long-term secular trends in mind (e.g., huge growth of the Brazilian telecom market) while trying to become a better short-term trader. Regards, djane
