FYI, JCP mentioned as an investment:

Phillip N. Davidson, manager of American Century Value Fund, as reported today (Sun.) in The New York Times "Investing With" column.

"...Penney "didn't fall back into our own valuation screens until the low $50s"... Davidson said, when the fund started buying it again.
The shares closed Friday at $39.875. "The primary play here is that they have the traditional department store -- it's basically no growth, but a nice cash cow -- and then they got the Eckerd drugstores acquisition" in 1997, which should bolster company earnings, he said."
