The Republicans are scared to bring up the issue since the Democrats will use the issue to raise still more taxes and create more spending programs. The Democrats are like the "Crazy Eddie" of public administration. They see the United Europe's model of Socialism as a goal. That would entail setting aside productive resources to permanently support 12-20% of the population as unemployed. The labor unions love it.
