Equity, Not Assets

Its chances of sinking to zero are miniscule in that it does have a refinery as a worthwhile assett.

Terry: Your thought process is flawed. Most of the participants on this thread have invested in the equity of this company, not the assets... unless, of course, you are the financier(s) behind the latest "conventional" funding. Shareholder's equity is equal to total assets minus total liabilities (E = A - L).

Question: So what happens when total liabilities grow larger than total assets (L > A)???

Answer: Equity becomes worthless (E < 0).
