Well I think that over all travel broadens the mind - it's easy to find maggots under stones. I remember that Pierre Trudeau was branded a communist because as a young man he travelled widely - including a trip to China which became the subject of a co-authored book 'Two Innocents in Red China' The Vietnam War was hardly one with wide support - in fact it was not a 'just war' like WW2 or the Great War. I don't know how a young man forms an opinion without seeing things for himself - he sure as hell doesn't learn much from the spoon fed media - and this goes for the current situation in the Middle East. Isn't the GPM such fun? dd
