Allen, the distributors like ingram have the inventory because they ordered it....that 8 weeks can change in a heartbeat with them when they run specials like the buy 250 zip drives and get a 50pk of disks. let me give all some real numbers.....ingram has onhand around 80,000 zip parallel drives with none on order....they had at the beginning of this week around 95,000, before they ran the special. the special runs through the end of this month. I would expect them to run through another 25-30 thousand this week if not more and probably would put in a reorder for the locations mid next month. So from where iom is sitting now looking at ingram, it looks like 8 weeks of normal inventory, but again that could change overnight....as in jaz2 drives and disks........a few end of month promotions/specials and they can blow through a ton of inventory....i remember posting months ago about disks that flew off the shelf(around 10,000 10pks. in one day)...and people did not believe me.....all that was from one special that ingram ran......so all i am saying is that the distributors will move the stuff........see you'll monday...
