The management background is listed in their proxy at sec.gov. I don't know any of the managers, so I can't give you any more info. I've been impressed by their ability to earn plenty of money and grow the company. I expect the embedded industry to grow at 30-35% for a few years, so it looks like a winner. You're right about the insider buying and selling and I think the management is managing the stock price so that it's unlikely to drop 35% in an hour like Wind River did the other day.
