Surfer:

1. Brinker thinks market is overbought, overvalued and ripe for a correction.

2. MSFT is part of the market.

3. Therefore, MSFT will correct with the overall market.

4. The market will go to new highs, according to Brinker, after the correction.

5. All things being equal, so should MSFT unless specific stock risk comes into play.

6. Do what you will with that information: hold, buy or sell.

Surfer: I mostly own mutual funds and don't follow the stocks you mention closely. However, the underlying message I got from this Saturday's program is that the current market sentiment indicators (especially the 10-day put-call ratio) are flashing that the market is vulnerable to a correction which may have already started two weeks ago. Brinker said the correction could ultimately be up to 10% and may even get to 15% off the recent market highs. Brinker would view such a correction as a buying opportunity which he expects will be followed by new highs in the major market indexes.

Since the stocks you mention have high beta coefficients and are tech stocks that have run up more than the S&P500 has since the Oct 1998 lows, my guess is that the stocks you mention would correct even more than 10-15% (and thus be real bargains at that point), but they are all quality companies as far as I know.

Good luck - sorry I can't be more helpful.
