I can not stress how much book value has nothing to do with the share price its the foward looking earnings potential and EPS that counts and thats what investors look for IMHO.

the book value you just calculated took into account only $27,972,394 in what Madera calls, "Investment in timber producing property". We now have a potential asset worth $96,000,000. I see nowhere that this property was being carried on the books at this level. Don't you agree that this is a major change in information? Is it possible this company can possibly have been this conservatively managed from an accounting point of view.

That seems to me rather unlikely, really.
