I enjoyed that post. I believe we have discussed some of these points at different times on this thread and the other one. That article seemed to reassure me that I am on the right path in trading.

There was a point in April '98 when I vowed not to trade, until I had learned more about stocks and trading. I met with no success previously and many of the stocks I had bought were way down. I believe I did not trade for almost 4-5 months. I felt that I still had a lot of investing years left in me, and wouldn't lose much by taking I spent that time interacting with others on SI (this was invaluable), reading, and watching stocks to develop good techniques for myself. I gained a general feel for the market and stocks, that has now become a "gut feeling". I have met with much more success since. Being prepared is the largest part of what we do here. If a person doesn't feel prepared, they should not trade. It does take time and preparation. There is still a lot more to learn and every trade is a learning experience. I was taught a few lessons by the "market" and reminded of a few rules that I will adopt into my trading.

Regards, Wisam
